I was just quoted $199 OTD for the 8k service from my local dealer. Great price, until I start looking at the manual and what it requires and then thinking that they will most likely skip items in the checklist.

For anyone that has had the 8K service done at a dealer, have they done everything on the checklist? I want to make sure they check the plugs as I have had pervious issues with poor running but I know they are a bitch to get to. Since mine is a 2013, manual suggests coolant and brake fluid change as well. I cant imagine that would be included in that price as well. Any of you had that included in a regular service cost?

Thanks

All I could suggest would be to get them to itemize exactly what is included in an 8,000 mile service. If it's an oil & filter change with inspection smile politely and walk away...

I agree with the above, but will add that you really need to meet who is going to work on your bike. It's easy to tick off items on a checklist, done or not.
