As has been said over and over on this forum, my Tenere is a keeper.
Yesterday was exactly 6 months since I took delivery of my new '13 Tenere with 1 mile on the clock.
20,344 miles
38.8 mpg
5 oil changes
4 rear tires
3 front tires
3 final drive oil changes
Another 5k miles and I will install Iridium plugs and new OEM air filter if dirty, check the valves and sync the throttle bodies.
2 hard drops, one on baby head rocks and one on pavement. No damage whatsoever thanks to the full Rumbux protection.
Not a single hiccup or concern although I did start hearing some CCT noise at 13K miles. I replaced one front rotor at 2K miles but that was due to a hard off road impact bending it not a design issue. If you want good stopping power you need big rotors so they will be close to the ground.
Lots of memorable rides thus far:
Ft. Meyers FL to Houston hugging the Gulf coastline
Houston to Romney WV
Skyline, Blue Ridge, Cherohola, Tail of the Dragon and Talimena start to finish
Natchez Trace, MS, WV, EasTex, Big Bend, Junction Adv/DS rides
Houston to 4 Corners NM and then 2/3 of COBDR
Rampart Range, Pike's Peak, Mt. Evans, Rocky Mountain NP road, etc.
Plenty more rides and miles planned. Will pick up a 4 yr. YES before the end of the year to support my anticipated high mileage.
See ya'll at the Marble Falls AR Rally if not before.
