3D printed accessory bar bracket

I printed a bracket about 6 months ago which was a early prototype which worked fantastically in the field exposed to the elements and vibration, so I refined the design and printed the final version.

The bracket clamps around the accessories bar on the Tenere's accessory bar using 4x M3 bolts into captive nylon nuts. I added a hole for a grub screw to prevent slipping however the clamp once secured is rock solid with no chance of slipping on the bar so the grub screw wasn't needed.

The Bracket will take any Ram-Mount accessory that uses the diamond base 2 hole pattern. in my case it will be holding my InReach cradle.

Very nicely done and even if I don't have a 3D printer, thanks for being so willing to share!

Nice. Thanks for the plans. What 3D printer are you using and I assume you used ABS?
I'm using a PrintrBot Simple metal, its a fairly cheap but very capable printer.

The plan was to print the part with ABS, but after my trial with PLA (which is much easier to print with) i just went with PLA again.

The part is insanely strong.

I'm thinking of getting some machined from aluminium (depending on the cost) from one of the Online machine shops. I'm also working on some other parts and bits and pieces for the Tenere and related stuff.

Next project will be some supports that run from the accessory bar to the Dash to eliminate the bar vibration. I know others have come up with solutions but this should be much more elegant and hidden/blended into the bike.

I've just finished printing the rear clamp parts for the visor, so just the visor part itself to print.

Any luck with the accessory bar stabilizer. Once you come up with a design that you're satisfied with please let me know. My garmin gpsmap478 with the touratech mount vibrates to the point that it's illegible.

How can i buy one of these mounts?
Hey, @shredmeister
you can get the model of the mount and order to 3D-print it (just as I did recently for just ~14 USD) and couple of bucks for the bolts and nuts.
I used the service of https://www.3dhubs.com/ where you can get the price from for your specific print from 3D printer services near you.

The model is kindly shared by its author here: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1327797

I have printed more universal version of the mount from @iClint
Thanks for the links, I'll check them out. Tell me how this version is more "universal". Is there a purpose for the large hole in the center? Thanks
