Does anyone know where I can get a connector for the accessory sockets

I notice in the RHS by the battery is a 3-way connector with a blanking cover, it is the same as the one the heated grips plug into.

I would like to use this to power other stuff but do not want to cut the wiring, so need to find a male plug of the same type.

That's them, the Sumitomo MT Series ::008::

I actually managed a harmless bodge by removing the little rubber blank grommets and pushing the wires (for my Autocom) through a tiny bit, then replacing rubber blank to hold it tight / prevent water getting in. Not ideal, but it has got me running without the need to cut anything.

Does anyone know what the spare plug by the battery is for

I am assuming it is to connect the spot lights too, it has 3 wires a Ground and two 12v wires, one switched and one permanent.

You are correct, Sir. It is for the OEM fog lights.

Fantastic, that means I have another switched power outlet on the other side of the bike to use :)

Could not find connectors in the UK so ordered them from the link provided in the good old US of A - probably cheaper than in rip off Britain anyway, got some extra's of M & F types so if ever I need to make up a waterproof connector I can.

Are the Aux Light and Heated Grip connectors the same style?

If I am ordering from Eastern Beaver, I might as well get all of my bases covered. Really we just need pins, since the stock setup is a terminating plug anyways and could be used to create a connector right?

You just need pins and plugs with holes to use the stock connector.

Eastern Beaver had them.

Yes, I know this because my bike has heated grips and the dealer gave me a box with the OE bits and in there is the blank connector they removed when fitting the grips - same as the one on the RHS for the Fog.

It is on the MT series page:-

3 Position .090 Waterproof MT Connector
Or at least that's what I ordered, so I hope I got it right, it is the only one that looks the same shape.

The pins are the same for both the 3 & 4 conductor connector. All you need is the male pins and the sealing grommets.

I had to spend $20 so ordered some connectors (both types) and some pins, forgot about the sealing grommets :-[ so may have to improvise.

Handy to have extra connectors for any future additions as I can spur off from my first socket, or put connections anywhere I like at a later date.

I'm looking to connect a GPS tracking system for mapping my travels, recovering if stolen, safety and keeping my family up to date. I need to tap an ignition, constant and ground. I have enough wire to go anywhere on the bike. I did find the 4-way under the seat which would be super convenient but I don't want to use it if it is intended for something else. I'm new to the bike so any tips on where to connect would be appreciated.

I just found the answer in the post below. I'll try the connector by the battery.

Easy to run wires from under seat to the Battery area behind the chassis / bodywork ::008::

The 4 conductor connector (should be wrapped in a plastic baggie) is the ABS test connector....don't go plugging into that.
