In the last five months this list has been revised more times than I can remember. I've listed it all here so I don't forget it.

1- First on the list is the Wasp Windshield adjuster. I hate wearing helmets. My thinking is if I can relieve the buffeting pressure on the helmet I’ll be happier.

2- I’ve a broken bone in my right wrist that didn’t heal correctly. So the Kaoko throttle lock is going to be a blessing & a must have.

3- I’ve learned from bicycle touring that most deer remain unseen by drivers, not to mention the road shrapnel, and cavernous pot holes. Touring on a bicycle at 10 mph you get a chance to study these things in undisturbed detail. I already have an LED light which I carry on my bicycle. http://www.dealextreme.com/p/mj-808-ha-iii-ssc-p7-c-sxo-3-mode-900-lumen-led-bike-light-set-44459 The thing is simply amazing. (it also makes a fantastic little work light in confined spaces!) I’ll purchase the Denali 2 unless something cheaper comes out. FYI – I find it hard to swallow the $349.00 price because the components to build these lights are so cheap.

4- For side cases I’m going with the Pelicans & maybe ….later on with a Trekker top case just for a place to store the helmet. It’s a tuff choice because the pelicans are a compromise in nearly every way. However, if the pelicans don’t work out, I’ll take the mounts off the cases and use the cases for storing other equipment in the shop. I’m sure I can put a set of the 40L cases with rack and mounts onto the bike for around $625.00.

5- Oxford heated grips because I’m not fond of the Yamaha price.

6- I liked the looks of the City tank bag in Greg’s photo’s.

7- I’m still undecided on the bash plate and engine guards. Those things can be added later because my first thousand miles will be all paved surface.

What am I missing? If anyone has a recommendation, experienced insights, please enlighten me.

Might consider the crash bars. I don't much like the Yamaha design but do like the Alt Rider bars

My shopping list (and purchases) is pretty much complete except for a skid plate, crashbars and the Denali D2's. :)

Colorider -

How do you think the large Trekker would work as a top case?

Koinz - I purchased the HDB top clamp and am trying to figure out how to mount the 60csx along side it.

Ol' Git Ray reworked his Yamaha bars into a Armageddon proof set-up. His modification made me think twice about using them. I'll see if I can find the photo and re-post. Lots of potential with the Yamaha bars if you're able to do a bit of tweeking -IMO. None of the other production run bars have really hit a home run for me.

Thas was origianlly my intent. 46L on the right and as a top case and a 33L on the left. Since I all ready use a Givi E460 for a top case on my FJR, I decided to simply use it rather than buy the 3rd Trekker. If/when I sell the FJR, I will then pick up a matching (46L) Trekker for a top case on the SuperT.

I've ordered a 33L and two 46L Trekkers and plan on using one of the 46L for a top box. I plan on using the Trekker top box for day to day commuting but use a large dry bag of some kind instead of the Trekker for the longer trips.

I'm with Colorider. I have the same Givi topcase for my ST1300. I ordered the Givi plate for the Tenere, had it shipped to Texas for free, and my wife picked it up and brought it back when she was down visiting her sister.

Now I can put the Givi top case on either bike. That will work fine until I learn to ride both bikes at once. I'll deal with that later. R

Hey guys I think the Trekkers are great looking cases on the S10. They'll look much better than the Pelican sides I ordered. I'm just too new at this to make expensive decisions on the fly, in advance of receiving the bike. On the other hand - when the dern things finally arrives I'm not going to be sitting around waiting for stuff to arrive to outfit it.

I have this nightmare - after waiting six months for the S10, it won't start at the dealer. :'( :D
