Have a question. I decided it was time to do some maintenance. When I removed the air box to change the filter, the engine side of the filter box had a fine coating of oil on it. IS THIS NORMAL?

All the following were being done on a 2013 for the first time....yes I am a slacker. 8)

For anybody who cares, spark plugs looked good...changed all 4.
Air filter looked fine....changed with OEM.
Valves were mid range on intakes and close to low end on exhaust....left them and will adjust, if needed, at 50,000 miles. New CCT tensioner then also...mine is nice and quiet still.

This bike was a challenge to work on. Used all my profanity ....some words more then once.

Thanks in advance for air box info.

This is exactly what I found at 27,000 miles.......new plugs, new air filter, a throttle body sync., and everything was good until I traded for a new left over 2013 when my bike had 36,400 on the odo.

Yes, in fact in the aft left corner is a short stub of a piece of tube where the oil collects.
