They're nice. Very pleasant bikes. No cruise or heated grips. Kind of bike you can ride all day and enjoy being on.

I like this one too. Same bike slightly different styling

They are fun bikes for twisties and great city commuters with a set of soft bags but not if you do a lot of highway.

Checkswrecks are you saying the V7 are not good highway bikes because they are naked bikes or because of the size and power? I remember you saying the V85TT was decent on the highway?

Fairings are a lot more important than one might think. Not only do they give the rider some protection in certain cases, but they also help with performance. Back in the day, when the big Ninja was the first bike to do 160mph, one of the magazines did an experiment. They took the fairing(s) off an took the bike to the track. Top speed, naked, was only 135mph.

Absolutely not. I love my boring Japanese reliability.
I had a Quota 1100ES for about 6 months. Could NOT find a service manual. That made me VERY nervous. (The bike cost very little, but I paid way more in anxiety.)

Kept my airheads for a while, then back to Japanese reliability. Can't agree more.
