Tried to install a Battery Tender Pigtail this morning.
Everything was easy until the Battery Terminal screws.

They are really tightly screwed on. Almost as if welded.
Couldn't even budge them and scared that I'd damage the screw head.
New bike. Are the screws supposed to be so tight?

Use a 10mm wrench instead of a screwdriver. Use something to support the terminal so you don't damage the battery.

Or leave the battery screws alone. Follow the red lead to the relay and connect your + pigtail there, and the black wire to the frame ground.

Thanks WJBertrand.
Wrench worked fine.

Thanks gv550!
Good tip. I'll do that next time I have to go into that panel.

For now, all done:
