So I'm looking for any advice on a stalling issue that I'm having on my new 2016 ES model and wondering if other people have experienced this.
My bike has stalled 3 times now while moving, all 3 times it happened when I was moving around 20-25ish and pulled the clutch in and it just died. I have a feeling it has happened more but I didn't notice because once I let the clutch out it fires it back up. This morning it also died while it was parked and idling, happened after I let the bike warm up for about 10 minutes then drove to a gas station a mile down the freeway to fill up. The idle sounded fine, then it just instantly died, the rpms didn't drop low first or anything. There have also been about 4 instances when it was idling and warming up that it sounded like it misfired, it had a steady pur and then a quick pause, then back to the steady pur. I told the dealer about this when I took it in for my 600 mile first service, they said they synced the TB and also raised the idle. At that point it had only stalled once and 2 times sounded like it misfired, since then the remaining stalls I have listed have happened.
It's going back in next Tuesday, but it sounds like they don't have any idea right now what it could be and will need to recreate the problem...it is so random I'm worried they might have my bike a while before/if it happens for them.
Anyone else had a problem like this on a 2016 new bike? It's very frustrating because I am absolutely in love with the bike and thought I did my research in finding a bike that will be reliable (along with a lot of persuading/sweet talking/convincing the wife that I needed to spend 17K on a new bike)
California has a lemon law, I think tuesday will count as the second time for this problem, after 3 times if they can't fix it I think they have to refund or replace the whole bike...I know it's that way for cars, hope it is for bikes too.
