2015 Windshield options

I picked up my bike Friday and have 500 miles on it. The first thing I need to change is the windshield. Between the air and bugs getting by it (and onto my helmet shield) I need something better. And I haven't even hit rain yet! The problem I'm finding is that few companies have windshields for the '14/'15 models. I'll be doing a lot of long distance touring and IBA type rides. I need something to cut down on the wind and quiet the air, and stop the buffeting. I'm 6'4" tall so it has to be a fairly tall windshield. I know I won't get the protecting my ST1300 had, but I need to make an improvement anyway. I do have the Yamaha wings on order.

Any suggestions for a windshield for the '15? I'm also planning to get the Madstad bracket.

Kind of leaning toward it if for no other reason than it's the only one people have good things to day about that fits a '15. I wanted to check out MRA but nothing to fit a '15. I'm also trying to find someone who has the Madstad bracket available. TT says they don't have any and are trying to get some. I can get one direct from Madstad, but their shipping costs are insane.

Not saying which one but at least check out Parabellum. Do a search on here for windshields. I think I saw another adv rider on here that was looking for a '14 windshield maybe as tall as you. Should be the same match for the '15. I'm 6'1" and really like the Parabellum not for looks but for helping my ride. I'm not into sport bikes like I used to be where my head is just out there. I think bumble bees are bigger than they used to be.

I ordered the CalSci because Parabellum only lists up to 2013. From my understanding the windshield and mounts are different for '14 and '15. Parabellum was my second choice just behind MRA but since neither of those are ready for the '15 yet, I went with what I can get. With a rally coming up in a month I need to get the bike ready.

I think you have to call them and Charley will make one for you. I think they have great customer service and want to keep any new customers happy. I've only called them just a few times but good responses and my questions were answered.

I bought the Yamaha taller windshield and it works great! I'm 6'2" and when I raise it up, perfectly calm behind the shield, if I want a little more air, I just lower it one notch and plenty of air on the face shield and helmet vents. I also have the wind deflectors which make a world of difference in the buffeting and air flow over the bike. They make it much more stable at highway speeds.

Ditto. I'm 6' with a 32" inseam. The taller windshield is also wider and the front bottom portion is concave instead of convex like the original. I think those two things contribute a lot to cleaning up the airflow.

I had the 24" Para on my '14 and liked it and kept it past their 30 day try out period but I thought maybe 26" would be even better. Talked to them at parabellum and they recommended i try the 26". Works great for me. Don't think that size is listed on their website. Give them a call. I'm 6'4 with 36" inseam.
