2015/6 MY ECU / PC Benefits

I am sure the answer to my question is already here and been repeated many times. Not that I am lazy but...
-Are there tangible benefits from modding the ECU / using a PC on a 2015/6 MY bike without removing the Cat?
-Thinking of a Yoshimura RS4 end can - any issues changing the stock end can for this without mapping / PC?

In short, you can run a slip on without making changes to the ECU, but you'll get more out of it as well as other optimizations by having the ECU flashed or adding a PCV with Autotune, which are all documented very well in the power/exhaust sub-forum.
