All I know is that a certain Yamaha Sales rep suggested to a certaiin dealer that it would very much be in his best interest to sell his leftover S10's before the 2014 announcement.

Looks like a cable clutch. They show a cable luber as an accessory for the 2014 Tenere.

It looks like they may have a good sense of humor at Yamaha Canada since the accessories also list a handheld rearview mirror, and carb dip.

And I especially like their last item on the 2014 Super Tenere accessory list - Chain Lube. ::025::

So they're going to lighten the 2014 up by a few pounds by going chain drive, and a cable clutch. Sweet!!!

That would suggest a lighter motor with chain drive and cable clutch.

OMG not a Triple Tenere ???

It'll get :
#1 cruise
#2 on-off ABS
#3 left hand control for display
#4 better turn signals
#5 bigger windscreen (maybe powered*)
When I got my Super Tenere I said I'd likely never have to buy another bike, but if Yamaha bring one out with these updates, plus lighter and with better fork protection, maybe some other tweaks here and there, then I'd be checking it out. As for being a triple - sure, why not?
