I have a TT sat nav bracket fitted to the oem screen cross bar and have found it wobbles about a bit at times; making it difficult to read. I've seen other inmates brackets and decided to fine tune on of my own. We have a 3D printer where I work and so I knocked up a quick pair of truss rods in ABS;

It's straight with no twist as I didn't have time to get it all measured up, modelled and printed. The ABS is flexible enough to cater for the twist required:

They fit fine and stiffen up the screen and cross bar to remove all the judder. They fit under the screen adjustor knob and bolt thro' the side screen fixing holes. I may make something a little more elaborate later, but these are plenty good enough for now. The screen is still fully adjustable. They should also shear before the screen cuts me in half should I ever decide to t-bone a myopic car driver.

I can post a STEP, STL or whatever file if anyone is interested, or you can wait until I get the mkII version underway; but as I said that won't be for a month or more.

Cheers-me-dears,

I just did something similar to my 2012 model, only used 1/8" x 1/2" alum.
I've raised the tall yama screen 2½" and added 3" more with a small piece on the top. A little bouncy at that height.
Those supports really helped out.

Good job Tim.

I made something similar with some 1" x 1/8 stock aluminum. Its easy to cut, shape, & drill ... & its cheap. A 3ft length was a couple of bucks. The cross bar on the windshield holds my 660 steady on the roughest roads. Looks pretty much stock

Love it. I was to redesign my aluminum brackets this Winter but would be interested by your Mark II.

If I could make a suggestion: make sure it can work with the wind deflectors in place.
