I asked my local dealer if he knew if the 2014 was coming here to the states? He told me they can order them in march, i hope so!

So your local dealer confirmed what has been documented by Yamaha themselves. In other words, they have not changed their minds. :)

Not picking on anyone. But it is a bit entertaining watching the up & down on this subject.

Confidence is fleeting.

I saw some 2014's advertised on CycleTrader with request price. There will be an ES model like the FJR with electric suspension adjust. One would assume it would add about $1,000.00 to the price as with the FJR.

At 15390 euros that translates to $21041 in US currency. Nice.....but not that nice for me to trade up.

You can't compare Euro prices to US prices. For one thing, their prices includes around 19 to 25% VAT (sales tax).

Look at the Canadian price: the ES is $17499, so expect the US price to be around $15.5.

I ordered a Canadian ES and will be trading in my '13 FJR, and then will sell my 12 SuperTen.

Am I right in thinking that when the 2014s hit the showroom floors here in the US, the left over 2012s and 2013s will be deeply discounted?

They're already at rock bottom prices, any cheaper and they've have to pay you to buy one. ::025::

for me there's absolutely nothing wrong with my 2012 S10, I just wasn't feeling the love for my new FJR and would much rather be on my S10, although I do like the cruise control on the FJR and complete gauge and bike computer cluster, so that's why I'm trading / selling 2 bikes to get a new 14 S10.

Just returned from the SEA M/C show and spoke with a rep at the Yamaha display. He said U.S. dealers will be able to order the 2014 ST in March. He gave no dates or details about colors or pricing. He looked and sounded legit (no shifting eyes, no rapid pulsing neck vein, no sweating brow, etc...). FWIW

So no hints on the lie detector trace either? ::025::

There are three 2014 models, XT1200Z, XT1200ZE and Super Tenere World Crosser. To Mexico only the XT1200Z will come, the main differences are:
-Between the XT1200ZE and the Super Tenere World Crosser, Word crosser kit, bike protections, some carbon fiber parts and some yellow decals.
-The ZE will have electronic controlled suspension, heated grips, center stand and passenger handles.

Those carbon fibre items cost an arm and a leg. I am seriously considering the XT1200ZE
