Guys, I'm trying to remove my blinker lights on the front of the bike. The shop manual is pretty vague on how all the plastics come off so I can't get it all apart to see the trick. It looks like there is a clip involved? If I pry the clip loose the stalk will come off? I'm scared I'm going to break something plastic.

Also, how about the "meter assembly cover". My 2014 does not have these 3 screws as shown in the manual for 2012.

Any help is appreciated.

I can't help very much, other than to say that they changed the signal lights in '14. So, your '12 manual might not be of much use. Why are you removing the '14/Gen II's signals? I think they look good.

I downloaded the 2014 manual from Yamaha for $7.00. Thanks Yamaha. This solved the question on the meter assembly cover. The 3rd fastener is hidden under the Yamaha logo that pops out.

I want to take the blinker lights off to see if there is a way I can mount my 2" LED aux lights in this area. Just exploring options really.
