3k miles seems time to do an update. In short, the love affair continues. Other than a somewhat wiggly screen/GPS I really can't say a cross word about this bike. It's every bit the machine the '12 is with further polish. I'll never be without a Super Tenere going forward and am appreciating my new found love for electronic suspension. It's really quite something to have the ability to adapt to various circumstances with such ease and precision. Given that a worse than average winter left most roads in my region in varying degrees of disrepair it even comes in handy taming tarmac. Just a good arrow to have in the quiver.
It starts and runs great. Just as with the '12, the more time it has on it the more character it reveals.
Noted engine stalls while rapidly decelerating are becoming more rare which is a very welcome thing.
Responsiveness is spry and a bit more eager than the '12.
Mileage is good at 45.9, about identical to the '12 w/CJM.
The dash has definitely grown on me. I enjoy it's clean, monolithic, and austere style. It's quickly and easily read.
Just as with the '12 I'm avoiding a strong temptation to put aggressive rubber on it and ride it as "the biggest dirt bike in the world" ™Snakebitten. Healing isn't what it used to be.
Going to the Adirondacks and Vermont this week and am really looking forward to a nice time in the mountains on the most versatile and reliable machine I've ever owned.
