Fellas,

HAs anyone from Cali purchased a 2014 S10? I'm just wondering how much the price (out the door) you paid for it? I am about to visit a dealership in North Hollywood tomorrow and any inputs will really be appreciated.

I just ordered a 2014 ZE S10, here in the U.K the retail price is £12,799.00 on the road ~ deals are possible, but dealers don't seem to want to knock much off the retail price.

The ZE is £800.00 more expensive than the XT 1200Z ::008::

Hi. I recently purchased a 2014 ES from Thousand Oaks for 18,400$ with own panniers and top case. First buying experience from a dealer, always bought used in the past. I think I might have been able to get about 1k lower if I had bargained harder.

Here's a breakdown: from an MSRP of 16,190 I got 1,190 off so a starting price of 15,000. Then add $1400 in freight, setup, dealer fees, etc. (which was discounted from their original quote about $300). Plus $1200 to good old California. Lastly, OEM side panniers with mounts and top box installed by the dealer for a total of $800. Total of 18,400.

Fees, fees, fees! They shave a few bucks off the price of the bike and then jack up the fees. I recently heard that COSTCO has a new bike purchase program on various brands of motorcycles including new Yamaha Super Tenere's. If you're a member type in your member number, choose the bike you want, and a representative from a participating dealership will contact you with a OTD quote. I talked to someone here in So. Cal. that was quoted $15,700 otd on a '14 standard Tenere.

Thanks a lot guys, I have a baseline price now which I got from you guys.
I wasn't able to visit the dealer today because I had to finish fixing my car. I will visit them tomorrow and hopefully make a great deal. thanks again!

And fliessman, something to keep in mind is that the ES is selling pretty well in SoCal, people finally jumping off the GS wagon maybe. So I would keep your expectations reasonable if you're in the area. Hope you do well.

Kgfire - I actually used the Costco program with my purchase. It's not nearly as good as it is for the cars, basically just 1k off Msrp with standard fees. I still had to negotiate pretty hard to even get my 18.4 offer with all luggage installed. I'll be the first to acknowledge that's not great, but the dealer didn't feel incentivized to sell since they had already sold all the 2014 st's on their lot and they had to get one from the warehouse for me.

I've purchased many bikes from that dealer and when they have a hot seller like the new Super Tenere ES they're not going to negotiate much. I actually think you got a pretty good deal considering the total package and the demand.

I bought my 2014 Std. at http://www.calcoastmotorsports.com/ for $15,180 OTD back in early April. I got the deal from Kevin Monosco and couldn't have been happier. I contacted at least 20 Yamaha dealerships "near" me. Cal Coast and Yamaha of Rancho Cucamonga were the only dealerships offer deals. When Kevin responded to my inquiry he said they just got two 2014 S10s in that day. He asked which color I wanted to prep the bike. When I showed up the next morning I had my choice between the blue or grey, he had had both prepped. ::008::

I finally got my '14 ES today from Calcoast Motorsports! What a bike! Thanks everyone! Thanks TenereStreets for the info too! Those guys are easy to talk to and made the purchase really painless.

I'm still getting the feel of the bike and yes it is heavy! But not when you're moving, it's very nimble.

This is my first roadbike! It's fantastic!

I bought the ES because I wanted heated grips anyways and I rotate between solo and two up loaded riding frequently so it makes adjustments a no brainer.

My 2014ES out the door tax title license in NC was $14,750. No accessories. They give me anywhere from 10-20% off accessories too.

Very good price, Brick. What is the state sales tax in NC?

There're not selling here in SW Florida, this is cruiser country. I'm shopping a 2014 and the 5 nearest Yamaha dealer in a 60 miles radius of me are not bring in any 2014's. Of course they each offered to get one for me but, hey..... maybe a fly and ride is in my future or perhaps a an exchange trip to other parts of this big beautiful country.

Brick, what dealer did you purchase your 2014 from? Was he willing to take a trade?

It's the same over here on the east coast. Dealers are only showing full msrp and none in stock.
I'm interested also on Brick's dealer info, I can do a fly and ride no problem!
