Dealer local to me has a 2014 demo I hope to try, I very much doubt the low down grunt will be anywhere near as good as my Flashed bike, and Yamaha's 2BHP extra top end will fall way short of the 10BHP I picked up from Arrow Headers and Flash.
I am also fairly certain my bike has smoothed a bit as the miles have gone by, maybe not as much as the new one and so far I have not really noticed the clutch basket "problem", but maybe riding the new bike will highlight this (maybe I should not ride it as I cannot afford to upgrade ::005:
ES does not really do it for me as I am happy to fiddle with suspension and I love my re-worked forks and Wilburs shock and know they will be of much better quality than the OE kit, even if buying from scratch I am wary of ES setups as they can be much more expensive to replace, not looked at Yamaha prices, but with the BMW a new ES rear shock is about £1700 ($3,000) but I can see why so many folks do like the ease of use.
