I can't imagine this bike not having cruise control. I use it all the time. I'm sure it's already saved me from a ticket or two.

I feel bad for my wife following me without it.

I remember how much I loved it on my '02 Goldwing.

I use it too, all the time. As a matter of fact if it didn't have this feature, I would have discarded buying it and gone back to looking at the 800XCX or TEx.

I've got a Kaoko on my 2012 which is great on flat stretches but once you go up or down hills it's difficult to maintain a constant speed.

Like heated grips, this is one of those features that once you start using it, it is an absolute requirement for a touring bike. As said, throttle locks are better than nothing, but no substitute. I won't be interested in a FJ-09 until Yamaha adds this feature (and removes the speed limiter).

Love it not only can I give my right hand a rest I can set it for 30 & 40 limits and just cruise along, took a while to realise after slowing down for traffic on motorways I coold press resume and get back up to cruising speed ::025:: took a while to get used to bike accelerating on it's on though !

Me too, one of the reasons I bought this bike, and for sure one of the reasons I bought the 2014, as I usually buy used vehicles. Love the cruise.

Now you guys have gone and done it. You all are a buncha sadistic bastards.

As I near retirement I'm starting to be more diligent about saving. My 2012 is one of the first predelivery bikes and farkled to where I want it. I haven't even finished putting on a brand new set of TKC70s. It's got too many miles to have a really good resale value.

But with this thread, I went and looked on the local Craigslist. BIG mistake, as there is a 2014 ES nearby with some nice farkles and only 1200 miles, for a good price. I have tax refund money. It has cruise control and the suspension. This is exactly how I ended up buying the second FJR.

I love the cruise too. That's actually what the tipping point was for me to buy the ST. I was thinking about buying a sport touring bike and a lighter, cheaper dual sport as well. Had my mind set on a new Kawi Concours until I realized it didn't have cruise. While i was contemplating the FJR, I really started to consider the ST. It seemed like a no-brainer and so far, no regrets. It's a sweety.

I tested it out for the first time this morning. What a bizarre sensation when it starts to accelerate up a hill when your right hand isn't twisting. ;D

When I had my 2012, I was just about ready to add the cruise to it (Rostra). Glad I didn't, this 2014 had everything that I was saving my $$$$ to add, heated grips, LED turn signals and...... Cruise... Glad i waited....

Put that refund to good use. I know I did.
