2014 cruise control packed up

Hi all just wondering if anybody had there 2014 xtz1200 ze cruise control pack up and if so did it have to go back to the dealers or did you manage to get to work again,I have a trip planned and don't have lot time to sort it at the dealers any info or help appreciated thanks.

I am not familiar with the term "pack up". Does that mean quit functioning? Does it have power? Is there a fuse?

I just purchased a 2015 ES and have used CC twice. I like it.

I seem to recall that there was an issue if you adjusted your rear brake lever too low causing the brake light switch to be on then the cruise would not function, might check that. Did you do any adjustments, or modifications prior to the cruise not functioning? If so, you might want to go through those and try undoing them.

Many thanks Nick you saved me going to the dealers 4 hours round trip, yes I lowered my rear brake lever and did not adjust the micro switch thanks again.

Yes the rear brake lever is at fault - i adjusted the lever down as when you are sat on the bike the lever is way to high. And then i had no CC this was 5 mins after getting a brand new 2015 ZE.
I was baffled why it was not working. Took it back to my dealer who could not find the fault then looked on here and saw the Rear Lever was at fault and readjusted and then the CC worked again !
I still think the lever is way to high but can't adjust it down any more with out the CC not working again.

Goes to show this site is a great place to find out useful info ......

Hi jimyamaha did you also adjust the micro switch behind the foot guard, if not you can lower the rear brake lever.
