Is there a range of affected builds or VINs, or do you need to call Yamaha?

418 bikes of the early 2015 build. Details were posted earlier in this thread, below, and you can check yours by calling your dealer or going to www.safercar.gov

Got my recall notice yesterday. The shift cam segment stopper on the transmission shift shaft was incorrectly manufactured with a sharp edge on the inside of it's bend, rather than a smooth radius...blah blah blah. Could break and cause shifting problems. called the local dealer and he's ordering the parts. No biggie.
Year / Model ?

What are the serial numbers involved?

From the first post, back in 2015... For your California 2015 model ES bike, only ser numbers 123-142 are affected. (so you're in the clear with an earlier bike build)

ALWAYS
www.safercar.gov is always THE source for ALL recalls.

That page has the link to the below page to input your particular make, model, and year:

Glad for you but the odds are with us too.
When this came out, most of the bikes were still unsold, and not all were even in the US. I really doubt you could still find a bike which has not had this taken care of.
