Our first stop on the off road ride was a climb up to an overlook area. It's a little on the rocky and challenging side, but nothing too bad. Not everyone decided to go up.

Here's a few pics I snapped from up there. I really didn't learn anyone's names all weekend, so you guys will have to help me out here.

I know this is Curtis here by his Black Tenere. Not sure who is making the turn in the back ground

2 black & 2 blue S10's.

Twsity and his wife Michelle did a great job off road 2up!

I was definitely enjoying Whorepedo's S10, but the very worn battlewings certainly didn't help off road. I was kind of missing having my strom with the TKC/K60 combo I have on it.

It wasn't very clear at the top to see really far out in the distance.

I think total we had 6 bikes ride to the top and 3 stayed behind

Caught these pics of Twisty riding down from a switch back above

This was just before we headed into Tellico for lunch. Waiting on the tail end of the group

An obligatory stop at the great waterfall right off River Rd

Lots of water coming down with all the rain

I probably have a half dozen pics of me standing in front of this water fall. LOL

After lunch, our group of 9 bikes was down to 7 as I think 2 headed off to ride the Cherohala Skyway.

We continued on and made our way to the "Leaky Pipe" which I didn't get any pics of.
(I borrowed this one from the internet)

4 of us headed down the muddy trail past the pipe to the RR tracks before you have to turn around and come back up. I heard someone dropped their bike trying to turn around there, but I forget who it was.

After the Leaky Pipe, we headed over to what some have been calling the "Aztec Ruins". Its really the remains of what was a cement factory used to build a dam just up the hill from here. Anyway, pretty cool place to go back and explore and grab some pics.

It was a bit muddy getting the S10 over to this area for the pics

You can see how big this concrete structure is

And just over the other way down this long corridor, you find this.

Sometimes its pretty muddy getting back to this spot here, but it really wasn't bad this time. You can just barely see everyone else up ahead.

We got back to camp at 4:30pm just after a little shower. Twisty said he knew of a fun trail we could go a little ways down just up from camp, so 3 of us headed over there. It was probably the most challenging terrain we hit all day, but it wasn't bad up to the point we went. We stopped at this area where he said after that it got a lot more tough and probably not suited for the S10's.

Sat night, some friends of ours had rented the big cabin just outside the campground, so Twisty & Michelle and myself headed over there for the evening. There was another Tenere rider (Yorkie) with a new white one that showed up also.

That was all the pics I took from this weekend.

It was great meeting and riding with you guys. With everyone being spread out, I didn't get to meet a few people, and some people i saw once and never again. I did have a great time though. The riding in the area is really great. It didn't matter if you are a road warrior or a dirt hound, there was something for everyone.

I don't have a lot of pics, but heres what i have.

Baldknob and I checking out a river on our ride home

An old cabin fishcat, baldknob, and i passed on our Sunday ride

MrTwisty, Bluelightning, and I at the top of a gnarly hill climb after our group gravel ride on Saturday

Another shot of what was called Aztec ruins

Nearby the ruins was this bunker looking place that had something to do with a dam

The waterfall on river road

Baldknob and I at the overlook at Deal's Gap on our way out Friday. We took Parson's Branch Rd out of Smokey Mountain National Park after seeing 2 bears to get to 129. Pretty cool getting right onto this legendary motorcycle road from a dirt road.

That's about all i have. I had a blast this weekend. I love this bike!

Damn I really wish work hadn't gone haywire forcing us to miss this trip :( It looked like an awesome weather weekend too.

I believe the cabin was one of the original settlers in the area.

More of the same here, I had a great time at the "Rally"! I met a couple dozen Forum members, discovered incredible new roads, may or may not have spotted Sasquatch jogging up Cold Springs Rd (tell me you got that on GoPro Fishcat) and cemented the fact that this bike is awesome! We witnessed MrTwisty railing turns like an R1 (with K60s) then blasting down (or up) slick, rocky and loose Forest roads. All of this 2-up. Impressive of the man and the machine. Thanks for leading us on Saturday, almost 50/50 gravel/street and 68 in Tenn is now a new fave.

Many thanks for twisting our arms go out to our trusty community organizer. Too bad you couldn't stay Whorepedo especially with the bike you brought. I hope your other Yammie made it home without too many scratches. Bluelightning rode (offroad) a brisk pace on an unfamiliar bike with street tires. Another perk of the S10, a short learning curve.

No pics to post as Icecold Dan was snapping photos with his fancy phone. The ride home Monday had Dan and I riding about 20-25 miles of gravel and 30-45 minutes of the BRP before slabbing it to Spartanburg, SC for BBQ and then home. The Tenere ate up the highway like I ate those ribs. Ummmm... swine!

We rode just over 1,600 miles for the 5 days on the road and not one reported breakdown or malfunctioning part (there was a loose spoke and a briefly lost nipple which led to a 10 minute spoke tightening session). My bike turned over 30,000 miles along the way and I continue to enjoy it like the 1st mile last April. Thank you Yamaha!

Just got back from touring North GA as well. The Ms and I had a great time meeting you guys and hanging out as well. I am one of the lucky ones that has a wife that loves to ride as much as me. I did not want to slow anyone down, and we probably would have. Crawfords was a good place to stay, cabins and price was right. I would have liked to be a little closer to civilization, but Hanging dog road is a hoot. I did not get many pics, but we were there for sure .
