Can we get a Thursday recon by some of the early birds? --

Will do. My Thursday "plan" is to do just that - check out Davis Creek and see if I can get myself lost on other GPS and paper-map indicated dead-ends.
Still planning to get up there Thursday about mid-morning. Anybody wanting to go out and get lost is welcome - it will mostly be dirt.

Thanks guys for stepping in and yeah between all the Garmin's and the local knowledge, I'm sure we'll have a good ride. I'm looking forward to it.

At other events I've attended at Crawford's we always meet up by the pavillion in the morning, then decide who is leading rides, where we are going, etc.
It's usually rather impromptu, but it has worked out well in the past.

Looks like I'll be riding my XT660R this weekend! Now I'm REALLY excited about the trip!! Haven't really gotten her out all year long.

My Tenere will still be in attendance though as I'm letting Bluelighting have an extended test ride on it. Maybe he'll ditch the Strom and join the Tenere family. ::022::

Unfortunately, I will be getting there Friday around 3ish and leaving Saturday evening after dinner. I had some commitments rise up on Sunday that I need to be back for.

That sounds a little filthy, but a good excuse to leave

Going up Friday evening after work. Should be there around 6ish. Staying in a cabin Saturday night. Trying to decide if I want to camp Friday night or rough it at the Hampton. ^-^
Plan on riding Saturday and Sunday.

Well, work may throw me a major curve ball and I may be stuck in Indiana and not make it. I should know more late today or tomorrow.

Not sure when you are getting there but Bladone and I have a cabin with a couple spare beds but we wont be there until Friday afternoon. I believe we are in cabin #1 but I'm not 100% as Baldone made the reservations. We will be staying Friday through Monday, leaving Tuesday morning. If you still need a bed just PM me and I will send you my cell number.

You and your trusty companian are welcome to stay with us. As you can tell from my avatar I am a dog person, as well. We plan to leave Jacksonville around 6 or 6:30am Friday morning so we should be there around 2-3 (give or take) that afternoon. I did confirm that we are in cabin #1 so you can stop by or PM me if you want my cell number. Either way is okay. I will be on a Raven and Baldone has a blue one.

Just confirming that no reservations necessary for tent camping? Still don't know if the schedule will allow, but am trying to make it there by Friday evening.
Tent camping is a big field, so no reservations necessary. However, I do recommend getting a place along the creek. The sound helps me sleep. The creek runs the length of the tent area, so you shouldn't have any problems getting close to it.

The bath houses are excellent. Individual private rooms with shower, shitter and sink. Bring a towel and washcloth.
