I found a used Yacugar.(same as Hyperpro) It was a good shock with no issues, but if I was going to buy new it would choose a Penske first.
A new 8983 double adjustable Penske is around $1350 plus taxes if I remember correctly.
Since you are in Quebec I would contact Stadium suspension in Montreal and see if they can make one for you. I was considering this route before I found my used shock. I am unsure of their prices.
It is unfortunate Elka stopped making motorcycle shocks. They had great products, but I guess the motorcycle market wasn't big enough for them.
3rd choice would be Ohlins. Similar cost to a Penske, possibly more.
There are many other choices. Ktech, Wilbers, Hyperpro etc. Acellerated technologies is a good suspension shop in Buckhorn Ontario. They sell new stuff and a great shop for service later down the road.
If you have a good suspension shop in your area give them a call and see what they can offer.
