Might mean there are major changes coming for the FJR!! My '08 was still my favorite bike to date - well, maybe the Tenere is getting close to taking the title.... ;D
I also loved my FJRs ('03, '06 and 2010), but don't think they would have made it through the pass out of Telluride this summer like my Tenere did ::014::

Well the FJR gets cruise control...I'd really like to see it on the ST as well, with a way to retrofit it to existing bikes.

Retrofit some of what is on the Tenere, which was adapted from the Gen2 FJR...

"Mid product cycle upgrade"

So the 1400 should be out in about 2018.

At this point I'm not impressed.

Well, now we have the details in the UK. Claimed +2bhp - wow!!! - but same engine. Fly by wire giving traction control and cruise control. Cleaner combustion reducing the amount of catalyser needed so small weight saving. Loads of minor mods and claimed improvements but nothing substantive. What we don't have is the price - that'll be a laugh.

Price in US is only $300 higher than the 2012 model. I think every mod is a good one. It's not a major redesign but the bike didn't need that. I like it and think it's worthy of being called Gen III. I believe I'll go get one and pass along my thoroughly wonderful 2006 model to some lucky buyer.
