Looks like a new version of mine without accessories.
While yours IS low mileage, since you asked, just a quick click on Cycle Trader shows 12 with lower prices.

I think right now the market for S10s is being depressed as dealers sell leftover 13s at firesale prices to make way for the 14s. I think its a shame that Americans arent hungry for more S10s because I think they are the best all around bike I have ever ridden for the price. ::001:: I think the fact that people will shell out more for a bike than my grandparents paid for a house so they can have the little round logo on display at the starbucks is ridiculous. But it is what it is. Americans have prefer form over function; suckers for marketing and flashy gimmicks.

end ::009::

I would hang onto your bike for another year and sell it in the spring. Once the factory leftovers are gone and people are looking at either a 18K 14 or a lightly used 12-13 for 10K, I bet a lot of people will opt to save themselves the 8 Grand.

I don't know what you paid but typically CA buyers end up paying substantially higher prices than the rest of us due to fees and whatever else the dealers can think of.

For a lot of the country it is a tough time of year to sell a bike as winter approaches. In the Midwest it gets tough to sell a bike anytime after July as there are very few buyers still in the market. The other challenges you face is that many dealers are closing out leftover 12's and 13's at prices at very attractive prices with $1200 in accessories. Also, many used 12's may have hit the market as owners upgraded to the 14's. Potential buyers may also be looking at the 14's due to the amount changes Yamaha made. Yamaha added a few big things and quite a few little things that amount to a significant improvement in overall comfort and performance over the previous model.

Your best bet is to sell local through Craigslist where your pricing is competitive.

Good Luck with the sale and I hope you find a buyer quickly. The good news is the deals on leftovers are drying up so that could help as well.

+1. This past JUNE I bought a new '13 with $1200 in Yamaha accessories and a year extra warranty for $10,500, plus tax/title/license, about $11,200 out the door. I think you'll do better next spring IF you can wait. Good luck with your sael!

Thanks guys...I wish I could keep her, it's a terrific machine.
The white thingy is almost a cat box, off a friends' Chinese scooter.
I carried a 2 gal gas can and some tools on a local ride.
I'm crying
