Hey everybody, I've decided to put up a donations page. The concept is simple, if you feel the site is providing value to you and you want to chip in a few dollars to help with the operational costs I'll graciously accept it.

There are a few things I'd like to do with the site that require additional cash, the main one is that I want to get onto a better host which will bump up the hosting costs quite considerably.

I want to make a special point that there is no obligation, seriously, only donate if you want. If you can't afford to because times are tough then don't even think twice about it.

To reward those who do decide to chip in I will pin a special badge to your profile showing that you supported the site. The way this will work is there will be a new badge for each year, and they will never disappear from your profile. Any donation amount will get you the badge, there is no minimum. This is the 2011 badge:

I really want people to know that I immensely enjoy running this forum, and for me that is reward enough. Any money collected will go directly towards the site, not into Venture's new dirt bike fund. ;D

Here is the link to the donations page: www.yamahasupertenere.com/index.php?action=donate

Thanks everybody,
Venture

NOTE: Please include your forum name in the "Add Special Instructions to seller" box (open it by clicking the "Add special instructions to seller" link right under "YamahaSuperTenere.com" on the donation form after you've logged in to PayPal). This makes it easy for me to find you and pin your badge.

I gave it a try this morning. I have an old Paypal account, but I won't use it anymore. I have had a couple of bad experiences with PP. So I went straight Visa, but they won't let me do it unless I log in.

Is there some way around this? Usually, I can by pass and just go straight Visa, but this site won't let me do it.

Please advise. I'm off to town, back later. Sorry. Hope I get another shot at it. If you can't make it work, send me your address and I'll send you a money order. R

Does the link to the donate page not work, or does the link to PayPal when you click the "Donate" button not work?

posted last night, but no worries on the badge. just glad to help. You guys have saved me many potential headaches and ensured that I will be the most prepared to enjoy my new bike than any other bike that I've bought by a large margin. I always thought that customizing was what show-offs did and that all of the bling did nothing but make a bike heavier and more attractive to steal. This site has given me a whole new view of the beneficial side of certain farkles and how I can make my bike more useful to me. I will gladly contribute to help run this site now and in the future. Thanks to Venture, Swagger, Chadx, and the many experienced adventure riders and yamaha gear heads. Never be afraid to mention even the smallest trick that you have learned, because even though many others may know of it, there are always some who will benefit.

I also donated...all worked fine.

Considering the amount of time I spend here...it's worth it.
