I bought this early last year from the original owner in WV with the optimistic thoughts of doing a bunch of riding. I put a ton of work into putting on all of the farkles to get it just the way I wanted it and ended up riding all of 250 miles since. Pretty sad, I know. It's been hanging out in my garage on a battery tender for most of the time. I just have too many things competing for my time and most have higher priorities so no sense of letting it continue to sit. I have the Super Tenere if I really get the urge to go off the beaten path.

Runs great, clean and fresh off of oil change (full synthetic). Ready to ride right now. There are no issues with the bike.

There's no direct spring rate vs. rider weight correlation as it depends on a number of other factors like type of riding, whether or not you are using an oversize tank, etc but you can use Racetech's calculator to get an idea of what might be right for you.
http://racetech.com/ProductSearch/1/Suzuki/DR-Z400S/2007

For reference, the stock rear spring is 5.5kg vs the 6.0kg that I have on there and the stock front is .44kg vs the .52kg that's installed. If you are in the low to mid 200lbs with gear etc, the setup should be about right.
