1st Gen - Black or Silver muffler covers

Hey, just checking if anyone has some black muffler guards to sell? I'd like to see if they look better that my silver one's when the panniers are off. If so send me a couple of pictures. Thanks! Michael

Have you thought about wrapping the silver ones with black or carbon effect wrap?

yoyo's right, if you don't like the color of ANYTHING, paint or wrap it. Especially nowadays with rattle can spray wraps of all kinds of colors; from matte to shiny, and colors to metallic. And with the wrap, if you don't like the results....peel it off and try again.

So my brother has a cover on his GEN 1 that is clearly an aftermarket part. I haven't been able to find it anywhere. It's made of aluminum and has the word "Tenere" cut into it and it's painted black...it's the best one I've seen and would buy one in a second if I found one.

I'd thought about paint but decided against it... now the wraps a good idea, but, can it hold up to the heat of the muffler when I ride with the panniers on?

Hmmmm, don't know. But, many, if not all, of the wraps can be used on car/truck wheels. And, brakes make wheels quite warm, so.... Also, I have a couple decals on my heat shield, without ANY damage/discoloration at all; I don't think the shield gets super hot.

Actually....that must be it...my brothers bike has a Jessie luggage system on it! Can just that piece be ordered? It looks great!

Jesse racks have "1200" cut outs not "Tenere".
