Some one enlighten me here,
Why isn't anybody pulling the trigger on this deal?
The S10 isn't a highly sought out bike, unfortunately. It's great for buyers but not so great for sellers.

Re: 2013 Super Ten..8,800 miles

Its been a fine motorcycle..
I'm worried about the cost down the road and being at the mercy of the dealer.
I'm intimidated also by the scope of the information in the shop Manual..the procedure for overhaul is overwhelming and I believe I bit off more than I could chew.
That why it's up for sale...at a couple thousand under average retail with about 900 dollars in only the most rugged upgrades thrown in at no extra charge to the consumer.
Anyone in the market for a Tenere would be foolish to pass over what I have to offer here.

Chris - I do think it's under-priced, especially for your area. Sales come from letting more and more people know something is for sale.

Regardless, the upkeep and longer term costs of the Tenere are fairly well known now that the bike has been around since 2010. It's as low as any other 1200 low-stressed Japanese bike out there, and sea for much better than the Euro bikes, so I'm not sure what you think will be an improvement. The bike is obviously rugged and reliable as they come, as it's essentially much like a 2 cylinder, 2 wheel, car or small SUV. As with any car or bike, just follow the maintenance plan. The only thing I replaced on my 2012 out of concern for long term was the cam chain tensioner, which was relatively inexpensive and quick to do at home. The 26,000 mile valve check has been done by many members and you can get an independent shop to do it for $350-$400.

Obviously, if you have self-doubts, those are internal and a different topic. Those are a valid reason to move on, but those aren't the bike itself.

Re: 2013 Super Ten..8,800 miles

ChecksWrecks,
Chapperal motorsport'll throw me a little money for it..I thought I'd give somebody here a real opportunity before I take it down there,
they'll mark it up and if it doesn't move off their floor in a month they take it to auction.
The Bike itself is just fine...it sits in my shop while I'm out on a street legal XR650R...
Thats what it boils down to.
I thought I'd ride the bike a hell of a lot more than I do.

I sent him your info. Seems he just can't do the dark grey color. I prefer other colors but at that price I wouldn't care. Anyways...GLWS!

If you post that widely enough in the LA Craigslists (LA, Lancaster, SF Valley) it ought to sell fairly quick.

It could be you priced it too low to start and scared some people away...that old "Too good to be true" theory?
