I'll have to see if I can get the $300 YES warranty, that would be the cherry on my deal. As all things go I'm already for my 600 mile check-up, still smiling, and the farkling has begun. First order of business was a trip to visit Mr. Twisted T. in Rhode Island and pick up a MRA X-Creen windshield. While I haven't tried a number of windshields on Big Blue yet, the MRA cuts buffeting and wind noise substantially. I like the adjustability to put air on me as well as to take it away. Next up, the Yamaha wind deflectors and the seat mod. As for the mods that came with my bike, after a shot of silicon lock lube, the side bags have worked great.

Thanks for the info. Knowing that deal is only for leftovers will complicate my decision greatly.
I'm not even sure what I'd use the $1200 for since I really dont like the yamaha panniers?
It's really hard to discount that deal tho...

Don't forget that on top of the free 2 year warranty, they are also discounting the remaining 3 years of Y.E.S. extended warranty for $300.

you're not making it any easier.... :D

I had talked myself into a 2014, got my wife to agree, but all the while not thoroughly convinced that I "need" the 2014....

Kind of. I called and was told that when they gave me my price they had figured in that discount. I was told I would get the extra year of YES but not 1200 in Yamaha stuff. I paid 10,650 for the bike so I can't complain too much. ::021::

Thanks. I bought mine on 4/29 and emailed to dealer just to see. I'm sure he will say the same thing about the price discount.

Holy moly, I can't believe the deals people are getting. $10000 for so much bike is outrageous! I paid that much for my KTM 500 dirt bike.

I called Yamaha as the website wouldn't accept my VIN. Latanya told me that my bike already received the extra year of warranty and that two additional years would be $240 and that three years would would be $400. I have two years to decide, and was told to ask for the "Upgrade" for YES on my VIN and the price would remain the same. Oh Yeah! ::008::

Definitely an excellent deal. While I was already leaning heavily towards the Super Tenere, this deal helped make my decision easier. I went with the Panniers...

It is amazing that not all dealers or maybe just some of the sales staff doesn't know this. I called one place locally and he stated the leftovers were 12999.99 and didn't know anything about the 1200 in accessories.

Haven't taken it in the dirt yet, but handles great on the road especially in the canyons!

Congrats on the new bike! I just bought a 2012 with 2700 miles with panniers, trunks, Garmin GPS, upgrated foot pegs, new tires for $10,000! I couldn't pass it up.

I tried to go to the dealers and had the dealer tell me that the $1200 deal must be one from the other dealer in town and that he had not heard that was from Yamaha.
This was the lead salesman, and I don't believe him, I think they we're trying to keep the Yami money and not pass along the deal! Hence, I bought the bike I did because
I got tired of the the run around from the dealers. I do media production for a living and I'm stunned by the lack of marketing skills these dealers show their potenial clients.
It's old school culture and it's just not working that well anymore!.

My wife and I took out S10 in the MT Evans wilderness road and bike was stellar! We went across some pretty deep ruts up steep hills 2 up and the bike rocked!

You have a great place to ride so take advantage of it!

Thats a great price. I didn't see that one advertised or I'd have bought it for that price with all that gear! ;)

Lets just say if anyone is interested in buying a new left-over Super Tenere, go to Vickery Motorsports. There was no dicking around, no hard press, just a great place to deal with. Sure they ask, but only once, on some up-sell items. But it was an easy and smooth transaction..

The other place I was dealing with made it sound like the lower price, gear, and extra year warranty was something the dealer was doing for me….

Looking forward (but a bit nervous) about trying some of the easier off-road, roads, here!!!!

Vickery has been around a long time! I bought some ATV's about 10 years ago and they we're easy to deal with! Good luck with the new bike!
