You know, the manual doesn't say not to use full throttle during break in, it says avoid prolonged full throttle operation. It also doesn't say to avoid any particular rpm, only to avoid droning at the same rpm and to avoid prolonged operation above those rpm until certain mileage thresholds are met. Nowhere does it say "do not exceed..." You can run it out to the highway and zing it up to speed running near redline through the gears then keep shifting up into 6th and cool it off running at low rpm at highway speeds. Exit after a bit, use the brakes real good, repeat. Feeder roads to the highways are just made for running in new bikes. ::008::
You get the whole nut, up and down through all the gears, check the brakes, keeping her pretty cool but still seeing what she's capable of. 8)
