Mine doesn't seem accurate, fluctuating substantially depending on recent fuel mileage.

I can't compare it to California, having never lived or ridden there, but I enjoy day tripping around Lake Ray Roberts and west/northwest of there. Of course it may be like when I learned to downhill ski in Wisconsin and thought it was great until I experienced something better in the Rockies...

Cool video. A lot of what the video said is still part of MSF training today (intersections being very hazardous, "there are old riders, bold riders, but no old, bold riders", and not lending your bike were all things I heard in the video and that I heard in my MSF class a few years ago.

I had a similar problem on my 2016ES. The problem is potentially quite dangerous, because when the TCS engages inappropriately, power is lost which could be disastrous if you were in the middle of passing someone on a two lane road. The dealer diagnosed my problem as a loose ABS sensor on the...

I picked up a new 2016 ES yesterday and enjoyed my first ride despite the heat. Yamaha hard cases and crash bars are on order. I traded in a 2013 V-Strom 650 with a bit of sadness because it had served me well and was in great condition, but I look forward to new adventures on the new machine.
