I installed mine with soapy water. If they start to stick on you, a shot of compressed air with a nozzle will make them temporarily expand.

I've always been a believer of "If it ain't broke, don't fix it". My bike is not leaking so I had no intentions of having the recall performed. After reading this I'm having second thoughts. I'm curious if the seven bikes with the o-ring installed improperly were having problems?

Mine are on back order so I can't yet report as to how well they work. On this side of the pond, they retail for $79.95 USD although a brief search on the web will find them much cheaper. Ninety pounds does seem a bit steep. Could you order them from an American dealer?

The owner's manual clearly states that when re-connecting the battery to connect the positive first and the negative last. Is it a major mistake to do it backwards? I doubt it but when in doubt I always follow the manual.

I barely touched mine and it fell out in my hand. As luck would have it, I had a tube of black RTV handy. I cleaned everything up and re-installed with a bead of sealant on the plug. Thanks to the OP for the heads up.
