It is below the clutch cover and directly below the plastic inspection cover. It is held on by an Allen bolt and has a wire coming out of it. I think it is the oil level switch.

I seem to have an oil leak from here. I believe it is an oil ring but if any knows the size and/or the part number I would appreciate it. Also if anyone has replaced it how difficult it is to do. It looks like I will have the take the headers off to get to the Allen bolt. Thanks for any help.

I replaced the part which was a little time consuming but not that difficult. I used loctite on the threads and torqued it to the correct setting.

I ordered the part today at my local Yamaha dealer in Mexico City. It cost about 75 dollars which is similar to online prices in the US. The parts guy said it will take about 2 weeks to get here which I doubt. In the meantime I put some zip ties which gives me some piece of mind.
