Eastern Beaver PC8 relay kit UK

I dont post on here much (or anywhere really) but if anyone has concerns I was a long term member at UKGser (denny) and sold/bought a lot of stuff on there. I’m based in Istanbul but have plenty of friends & family visit me regularly, including my nephew who is here atm and will travel back to...

Eastern Beaver PC8 relay kit UK

Took the PC8 off my S10 and now have it on the AT after buying the relay kit only. Couldn’t see an S10 specific relay kit on Eastern Beaver so this is an opportunity for someone with a new bike & PC8 but no relay kit. Its the plug & play connection, which slots into the oem heated grip accessory...

    Gen 1 new recall

Would have thought so, unless US versions have a different wiring system, which is doubtful. Some dealers can be lazy though...I discovered on a US based forum that certain WR250R's had a recall for dodgy stators. I never got a call from Yamaha so when I called them they sheepishly fessed up...

Burning oil ? Adding oil ?

Although I do recall two very spirited rides lasting roughly 3 and 5 hours each, so maybe I haven't been as easy going as I thought

Burning oil ? Adding oil ?

Picked up my 2012 in May 2016 and didn't really have any issues except for the occasional warning light for 1 mile in the mornings. I primarily use the ST for touring with wife, including the occasional trip in town. Last year we did 3 weeks all across Greece and the light came on 2/3 through...

    "On bike" storage?

Finally got off my ass and made a locking box under the top box. I have a Globe Scout case which has a bracket like the Altrider (I think) which is ok for storing rags etc but I prefer to have something lockable for tools etc. This is the case/bracket set up... Ready for fit... On bike...

    Header change only

My bike came with a MIVV can, which was promptly removed due to excess noise. I wouldn't mind a little more grunt though for those 'warning' blips when filtering through traffic. I would have thought no cat means slightly more noise?

    Throttle ?

Out of interest how much slack should there be? Mine has about 1cm’s worth before throttle engages. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Header change only

Hey all, couldn’t find any info or vids on bikes with after market header only, with all else oem. Friend has a set of unused Arrow headers he’s offering for a decent price however I’m not sure its worth the hassle. If I do fit the Arrow headers will I need a power commander type gizmo and...

    Another catastrophic CCT failure.

This is $40 the Graves equivalent is $150. The pricier one looks like it has been machined slightly better but that wouldn't justify a $110 price difference surely? Am I missing something?

    Arrow exhaust db killer/clip needed!

Try an Arrow dealer, I'm sure they can get one for you. Mine had a Mivv can without the DB killer, sourced one from a Mivv dealer.

    Visor Warning

I've been riding with sunnys under my TourX for years and am yet to experience the ghosting effect, although I can see where you're coming from. Whenever I enter a tunnel I simply pull my shades down to the end of my nose, and back up to the bridge when I'm out. Pretty simple and only a fraction...

    Will This Windshield Setup Work?

Yeah I contacted TT, they were semi helpful...but I scoured the internet and found a few places that look like the have what I'm after, so no need to fill Mr TT's pockets!

    Will This Windshield Setup Work?

Hey all, I have a TT screen mount similar to the one in the pics below. I managed to lose two of the locking nuts/knurled bolts (two either side of the satnav) somewhere in Greece & have bodged it since. Do TT sell these as spares, I couldn't see them sold separately on their site? I need both...

    Average MPG

I never really bother with MPG's, but I reset the average MPG as I was setting off on my 3 week trip around Greece recently (RR to follow?). things to take into consideration: - 2012 Gen 1 - 2 up fully loaded / 4300kms - 20% motorway - 35% country roads - 45% mountain roads (fun fact - Greece...

WR250R chain snapped, how much damage

Hey all, the chain on my WRR snapped and wedged itself between the front sprocket and swingarm. Sandman casesaver did its job however she didn't escape harm free. Took me a while to get the chain off, fairly deeply gouges on swingarm and the little protuding lower sprocket cover bolt hole on the...

    Stripped oil drain plug

Labour costs, including quality work, is relatively cheap over here. I'm guessing welders labour + mechanic labour will cost roughly 1/5th what a new pan & gasket would. Agree a good weld will do the job, but we have a 3 week trip all over Greece coming up and I really don't want something...

    Stripped oil drain plug

Hmm, that's something new to me too! I like the look of those, however unfortunately I couldn't find anywhere locally that uses either of those two fixes. I'm not as mechanically minded as many on here so I'll probably keep my mind at ease and stump up the extra wedge & go with a new pan. I'm...

    Stripped oil drain plug

as per the title, at some point in the previous (and first) owners ownership the oil drain plug was threaded and a helicoil application was installed. Since I bought the big ol gal I've taken her for two oil changes and for whatever reason during the second oil change the helicoil thing came out...
