To ride that slowley in first gear without moderating clutch, brakes and throttle would make you a very dangerous rider in traffic.
I'd suggest attending a rider training course that will cover slow riding techniques and you'll find riding in slow traffic a lot less stressfull. ;)
Been there once, 198kmh two up with hard luggage full enough for ten days in calm conditions.
Stable and predictable, may have gone to 200 but road was starting to get bumpy so wound it down.
Mine is paid for but I have to be careful with what I buy for it for fear of ramifictions.
In saying that I've been on the hunt for a second hand Akropovik since I bought the bike without any luck.
We have just replaced our old ride on mower with a nice new John Deere and I've sent the old one...
Sounds like the WR450 is what you need, more power than you can shake a stick at, wheelies in all gears and is only a few pounds heavier than the 250 ;)
I wonder how much KTM are kicking themselves for turning down Ewan and Charlie's request for one of their bikes? And good on BMW coming to thier party and wonder how many GS's were sold on the back of their programmes
Who nows one day I may buy one myself ;)
Givi Trekker 33 & 46
Have been used several times on some quite big trips and fully recommend them.
Completely waterproof, so easy to attach and take of, carry in just like a suitcase and have a nice balanced appearance on the bike. Have had several positive comments.
The little access slot in...
Bought my S10 in December.
Looked at all the other 'adventure bikes' before I bought it.
In the interest of full disclosure I am a Yamaha fan (I have several other yamahas in the shed) however I was happy to compare.
The BMW R1200GSA is an awesome looking bike and clearly very capable of what...
Hi klenoth,
A re-flash may pep your bike up enough for you to be staified with the performance in which case money well spent ::001::
I had a Concourse 1400 (as they are called over here) massive power but man they are huge...I use my bike for commuting as well as everything else and it...
Hi Klenoth,
You can make your bike go faster, it will just take money to do it.
You have some mods on your bike but it hasn't been tuned for them so more than likley running a little 'flat'.
A power commander or re-flash is probably the cheapest fix for this at this stage.
Power/speed costs...
Klenoth, I'm thinking there must be something wrong woth your bike mate.
Ive had mine over 6 months now and done several tours on it two up with all the luggage and on occasion had some quite spirited riding with the groups of friends I tour with.
I cant say I feel it lacks in acceleration with...
She sould love it mate,
my wife has travelled many 1000’s of Kilometres on the back of most of my bikes and she finds the S10 one of the most comfortable. We tend to motel it rather than camping these days.
Re: Real tank size
Whooaa there, thats you boys told then eh!
Just another note, Ive got 56 scary kilometers out of my reserve, its amazing how fuel efficiant you can ride when the thought of pushing this beast becomes a real possability....
