Brand new fan assy for sale - Australia

Hi Guys, For any Aus owners - I have a brand new fan assy for sale. Suits a 2010-2013 model (not sure if the newer model uses the same part number but I'd think it does). Was purchased as "insurance" for a few remote area trips and thankfully was not needed. Cost me $550 but willing to sell for...

How To – Stand Up Properly on a ADV bike

I don't consider myself an expert by any means but most of my riding life has been on trail bikes and single track. I've had 30+ years of this type of riding. No motorcross/race speed stuff but enduro - lots of exploring unknown tracks in forrests etc where the challenge is not so much going...

HELP - ECU reflash, Arrow header and South Africa vs. US model

I still have the OEM headers so I can't say where the Aussies source them from. I DO know however that buying locally is generally more expensive than buying from the US (including freight!) on most things except tyres. So I'd recommend trying the US before Aus. Cheers Glenn

HELP - ECU reflash, Arrow header and South Africa vs. US model

Hi Blue Star, I own a 2010 Australian model. As far as I am aware the South African and Aus models are identical. Several owners here in Aus have successfully fitted Arrow headers without any problems. I believe these headers effectively remove the catalytic converter though, so the bike may...

Aussie online source for Yamaha OEM parts?

Hey Twin, What Karson said. Not sure about Aussie online suppliers. I have found OS suppliers WAY cheaper than local. In fact I purchased my Leo Vince can from Tabasco and it was still cheaper than local or online! I also know that freight from Aus to Japan is expensive too. See here...

    Fan motor replacement...

oKLRider, Been meaning to post on this very subject for a while. You're poat kicked me into action. I suspect the reason why your cleaned and reassembled fan motor does nothing is because the carbon brushes are NOT springing out as they should. I had a similar problem where the fan would...

Has anyone bent the lower portion of the radiator ?

Do you mean like this? I'm now on my 3rd set of crash bars: 1st set SW Motec. Rad side is the weeker of the 2 and will bend inboard if the bike simply drops onto the left side. Found out the hard way when bike was knocked off the side stand. 2nd set Givi. Much better than SW Motec but a slow...

    Australians Top Case Mounts

Jeff, OK, I don't have ANY of the OEM luggage, so I think that rates me as an expert :) I think you should be fine as the standard rear rack seems to be the same all over the world. As I understand it, they don't come with locks as you are supposed to use the ones supplied with the bike. This...

..................its all your fault the Mrs is as mad as a cut snake... 1

Can confirm this technique works but can be costly. Did a trip up to Lightning Ridge last year and it cost me hundreds in opal necklace and ear rings for the missus. I got lots of brownie point credits though because I remembered opal is her birthstone O:-) Welcome to the fold. Cheers Glenn
