I do use the rubber tether. For mild around town riding I don't know that it's fully needed, but I have zero reservations about the security of it with the rubber tether attached around the corners. I've had it on for about 6000 miles with no issue. I put the phone up just for the pic so the...
Hard wired in my GPS to the PC8. I think I'm finally done with the dash. So far I have my rigid light, radar, 2 extra USB's, and GPS all hard wired in to the PC8. It's been a major convenience for someone who usually really struggles with electronics.
First trial packing run for 5000-6000 mile two up trip. Still have more things to buy and other stuff to do to get things where they need to be. Will be able to do a "final" run for everything we'll be bringing in a couple weeks.
My alt rider crash bars, acd skid plate, and bumot panniers are 2nd to none in my book. Windshields are a personal preference. I use an oem tall windshield and winglets and couldn't be happier. Im 5'10 for reference.
I have the Bumot panniers and top case. Top quality. Zero regrets with them.
I'd go for a 14+. If you plan to put a ton of miles on it and keep it a while you won't regret it. The electronic cruise control is second to none. Works flawlessly. Few other worthwhile upgraded as well.
I just paid $410 on Amazon. Showed up yesterday. $480 is a ripoff. I always check Amazon first, they're cheapest 90% of the time. Plus the prime free 2 day shipping..
Garmin Zumo 390 came in yesterday. Wife is learning all of it. Will get it mounted this weekend probably.
10' motorcycle ramp, chock, and tie straps should be here soon.
I'm finishing my current contract September 2nd and my wife and I are planning on hauling the bike from Texas to Phoenix...
I love my bumot side cases and just ordered a bumot top case. Should be here Monday.
To my understanding a lid should fit in the top case then jacket and whatever else in the panniers. I'm not positive but I can check when it shows up.
From what I read the givi aren't the most durable off...
Had my extended brake and clutch lines installed. Added Rox risers.
I do have some 1" risers for a 2014+ and another set of 1" risers for 2012+ if anyone is interest.
Yes, it took me a while to figure it out. The 1" riser worked fine with the stock lines on my bike.
Well it looks like mine are backwards lol. I feel like mine look a bit better my way, a bit less "obvious." Granted - seeing the other pictures now they look more effective when installed properly.
Interesting - mine helped a ton as-is. It'll be interesting to see how much more they help when...
Man I wish I didn't see that link lol. So many other options. Installed the MCL lowering peg brackets today. Plan on doing a couple hour ride with the wife later to see how the fit works.
Installed Bryns windshield support brackets and lowering brackets for my passenger pegs. Plan on taking a couple hour ride with my wife this evening so I'll report back.
Pictures aren't the best. Work done in my toy hauler with a head lamp lol.
