My 2013 is matte black/grey. I've outfitted it with all black aftermarket items (luggage, crash bars, etc.) and my buddy suggests it look like some kind of special forces bike. Not sure where that might apply but it does kind have a unique look I suppose.

Congratulations on finding such a nicely equipped bike. That will save you so much in the long run. I love the dirt as well because I like to explore and I don't reach out for too many big challenges anymore. So I'll keep exploring the easy stuff.

Congratulations! I came from a BMW GS as well (with a Goldwing in between) and I agree that the bike seems plenty powerful and enjoyable. I'm especially happy I can reach the ground easier on the Tenere than on the GS.
