Super Tenere stops running after cruise control drops off two or three times

Did you check the wiring from the CC? My friend's S10 had a wire fray right at the plastic CC housing. Would short intermittently.

Airbox/ambient temp unusually high. Slow climb in temp.

Thanks for the replies, I'm sure I'm just being paranoid. But I'd swear she never ran this hot. Anyway, I'll see how it goes, it's probably nothing.

Airbox/ambient temp unusually high. Slow climb in temp.

Hey all, wondering if someone else has had the same issue. My ambient temp slowly rises and keeps rising. Have seen it get to 114F in fairly mild temps high 70's to 80's outside temp. I gather the head and cover are getting hot and heating up the airbox. Engine temps are a little higher than...

GEN III NEW Super Tenere question / info

I can't figure out how not one engineer from all these clever companies has not come out with the one thing the seems most logical for an ADV bike and that's a high mounted display that will clone your phone or GPS screen for navigation while still showing you your basics, speed, temp and what...

    Zeus Dzus Dclips

They're not short, you have something in the way. It's such a loose tangle of wires and connectors behind that panel that often times i have to tuck them back in to get the panel to be flush.

    Totally rusted coil/spark plug

I'm sure the grease wouldn't burn but I think it would get soupy enough for it to eventually seep away over time maybe?. Now that I'm thinking about it I guess I should make sure it's not too conductive if it makes it's way down to the plug/coil junction. I do ride year round, rain or shine...

    Totally rusted coil/spark plug

I did grease the top seal but with the heat I doubt it would last long. I'm wondering if the water is being forced in when at highway speeds and perhaps some sort of trim put in front of all the coils could prevent it. An "L" shaped fairing and use the coil bolts to hold it in place.

    Totally rusted coil/spark plug

Just did my plugs and of course two of the plugs were quite rusted, one coil broke ($$) because of all the corrosion that made it impossible to get out normally, had to eventually use channel locks. I'm thinking of adding some sort of extra o-ring to the coil, or possibly just filling the...

A big thank you Oldrider, very much appreciated. Tabasco I did order a new gasket as well, but was on the fence on whether i needed it or not. That cinches it, thanks for the advice.

Need to replace the oil pan and can't locate my PDF shop manual

Hey all, Long story short, popped a hole in my pan in the PA woods, ordered a new one was ready to put it in today, but unfortunately it dawned on me that my shop manual was on an old PC. Hoping someone can show me the page for the oil pan for the torque setting on all those many bolts. Thanks...

    Running Twin batteries. Ideas

OX-34 you're hitting on some valid points, also I ride solo a lot and would love to have a second battery as backup since there is literally almost no way to bump start this monster. That said I now need a battery guy to tell me if I can mix two identically rated but different chemistry...

    Running Twin batteries. Ideas

Good info, thanks for taking the time. As it turns out even two much smaller Lithium batteries won't fit in the space allotted so that's out anyway. As much as I like the jumper pack idea it would be nice to have it all integrated as going on big trips there is always so much to think of, pack...

    Running Twin batteries. Ideas

Hey all, I was looking to run twin Shorai batteries on my S10. For back up and aux power when i'm not riding, camping, lights, charging, etc. I was looking to buy and mount a marine grade switch so I can use one or the other on the fly in case I happen to leave the ignition on, or whatever might...
