I wonder why Yamaha has so much trouble designing seat to bike attachment. Still struggling with my ST seat (will try the wheel weights). I had similar problems with my FJ-09 until I got a Sergent seat.

Spent an hour there in April. Could have stayed 3 hours. Saw many bikes I've only heard of, and many I didn't know existed. Price of admission - nada.

Got the same response from 2 local Yamaha dealers. Would need to drop off the bike before they would order the part, with no idea how long it would take to arrive. Since this is prime riding season, and I haven't noted any problems, I may wait until winter.

I have a 2012 T100 Black Bonneville ridden frequently with no problems. Great commuter. Enjoy the ride. Sharp looking bike.

Turned 68 in March- the month I retired. Plan to put some serious miles on my '19 ST this summer after a warm up road trip last month in a camper with my brother tracing Route 66 from Chicago to Santa Monica.

I traded my 2016 FJ-09 ( name changed to Tracer 2yrs ago) for a 2019 ST in May 2020 and have not looked back. Much more comfortable, plenty of power. Not as quick, but the ST handles better, in my opinion, in every day riding. Haven’t tried it yet, but the off road option is a plus. FJ...

Great mod. Have the bike 2 weeks (leftover 2019) and this has made my 50 mile round trip commute so much more pleasant.

Welcome from Virginia. New myself - bought a leftover '19 2 days ago. After 200 miles, it is light years ahead of the '07 KLR I had.

Attached accessory pigtail to battery. Day 3 of ownership. Not done by a long shot.

Haven't pulled the trigger yet, but plan on a new Super Tenere ES within the next couple of months. Currently have a FJ-09 Yamaha (very fast, but not all day) and Triumph Bonneville, which I will keep--it's like a faithful old dog. Planning on retirement soon and want something to take me...
