I have tried the 20/80 tires and they really don't work well for me, I'm finding the 50/50's suit me better. That being said, there are higher skilled riders that would have no problem with 20/80's . But for me the Grip when I decide to explore is worth every penny.

For me personally. I'm way more comfortable on 50/50. Even when there is very little dirt, they just give me that extra bit of confidence, I started using them on my Quebec trip. Which was mostly asphalt. But on those sections of loose gravel I was glad I had them. I have used the 705's...

I'll be on the Super Tenere most of it is black top. The dirt is no problem with the right tires.
