    Installing the ABS Unit Cover

Thanks Mike. Well the cover is back on and the bike is temporarily back together again. Temporarily as I haven't fitted the lights or satnavs back on yet but I'm short of time this weekend and needed to get it back together so it can be shipped to our new-to-us house on Tuesday. I can't say it...

    Installing the ABS Unit Cover

Hi Eric, nice to hear from you. It's a bit difficult to make out and perhaps I should have taken the photo more from the side but it is up the correct way. Kevin

    Installing the ABS Unit Cover

That's really useful, thank you Alan. Now I can see how it should sit. Yes, it's the electronic suspension model (called a ZE over here) and definitely less muddy! :) There are differences in the cover but they're not huge differences. Kevin

    Installing the ABS Unit Cover

Thanks very much Mike. I've walked away from the bike now hoping I may get inspiration when I look at it again in the morning. Unfortunately it looks like a ride for us in this year's IBR isn't going to happen. We're currently banned from foreign travel and this seems likely to continue until...

    Installing the ABS Unit Cover

Preamble: After we lost a chunk of the rear wheel of our Ténéré at speed during the '19 IBR we lost confidence in it to the extent we were wincing ever time we went over any sort of bumps. That being the case we decided we'd get rid of it so last July I bought a 1250 GSA with the intent of...

    Grab Rail Bolt Length

Thanks both. I misread the post from my other informant who said they were 55mm. I got some 50 and 60mm bolts and the 60mm seem to fit OK. Kevin

    Portable 12V air pump/tire inflator

I too have the Motopump which I've used lots of times and think it's a great bit of kit. It's a small, effective and the pressure gauge is accurate. Kevin

S10s in the Iron Butt Rally!

Thanks for posting to see if anyone could help us with the wheel Eric, we really appreciated it. We have no idea why that chunk fell out of the rim. If anyone would like to read about our rally we posted our rally blog yesterday. Kevin

    IBR 2017

:D We were very pleased with our position as we weren't confident of finishing at all. Now I want to ride it again! Kevin

    IBR 2017

That's nice of you to say Eric but I was over-ambitious on leg 2 after you got us going then we had a good leg 3...well apart from getting to Sault Ste Marie much earlier than anticipated and not really having anywhere to go from there! On the last day of the IBR we had a nice ride round the top...

2up to Hyder, Alaska, To see the bears

I really enjoyed that, thank you. We're hoping to head up to Alaska after next year's IBR as we didn't get a chance to go there last year so I've bookmarked this to use for ideas. Kevin

    Farkles: 2011-2014

Chris, at CT Motorcycle Services, had them made for me by a local engineering firm while he was doing the paint and electrics. There's no interference with anything, in fact I don't even know they're there when I'm riding. Kevin
