Thanks! So you don’t mess with soft or hard settings?

Hey guys brand new to thread. Have a 2018 ST ES and was looking for some general advice on suspension settings. 3 settings from soft to hard and +/- 3 on all of them seems a bit confusing. I mostly ride pavement and weigh 180lbs, sometimes luggage, sometimes not. Suggestions?
