What you did to your Tenere today??!!

I looked at it (the Tenere) as I put the snowblower back in the garage...for the 2nd time today. Looked at it again when I put my skis back in the garage later on. Kinda wish I hadn't sold the sidecar bike. Could have gone out & spun circles in the road. Oh well.

    S10 Owners, Feeling the Vibes?

Vibration? Where? My Tenere is just swell in every respect. My 06' GS1200 vibrated a lot more. Used to get a weird vibe in the right foot peg on asphalt. Weird mon.Of course,BMW couldn't do anything about it. I've ridden the S10 1000 miles so far, most of it on western US dirt. It is an amazing...

Y.E.S. extended service contract - yes / no?

Had a lot of jap bikes, never an extended warranty. Never had reason to buy one. On my 06' BMW 1200 GS I DID buy one (3 years,1200$) after several reliability issues during it's initial warranty. Had I kept that bike I've no doubt I'd used it's extended warranty. Ordered a Tenere. Kinda doubt...

Impressions from the CW Seattle Show

Yup chadx, that's the rack. Agree with everything you're saying. They have a red plastic gas can that bolts to that rack. Pretty sure a duffle bag would ride just fine over the can. Pretty neat. I'm getting it. Too bad the Tenere doesn't have a huge gas tank like the BMW Adventure but with the...

    Riding 2 up

We've been wondering about 2 up too. We've been riding 2 up on a BMW 1200 GS for 4 years--mostly on dirt in Idaho & environs. Sat on the Tenere Friday at the Seattle show. Wife liked it fine. Said panniers were EASY to clear when getting on & off. Seating position was comfortable. She did say...

Impressions from the CW Seattle Show

Interesting summery. I sat on those bikes in Seattle too. I had a 1200GS my wife & I rode double on, mostly on dirt(we live in Idaho). We got on the Tenere. Wife thinks it's easier to get on than the GS was. She liked everything about it. Bike felt a bit smaller than the GS & less top heavy. Fit...

Outfitting your ride - what is on your list

Adding engine guards, bash plate & SOFT saddle bags(had Jesse hard one's on a GS1200 --broke my leg under one in deep sand). Have an ancient tank bag. Any soft bag recommendations out there? Thanks.

How's Tenere 2 up in dirt? Torque?

Thanks fellers. Yahmy, thanks too.You Aussies sound lika great bunch. I saved over $8000-US by buying the Tenere rather than another beemer. Enough maybe to visit Australia & rent a bike. Chase some roos, maybe.Tired of dodging deer, elk, moose & bear around here. I guess my main concern is torque...
