the Pan America I rode was nice. It would rev past 4K easy. Maybe it has a rev limiter for the bike being in neutral or something. I didn't try that. The one I rode had excellent breaks! Very strong and very controlled. I won't say they had the best feel of some other bikes I rode but they did have good feel and were very strong. I did like that about the Pan America. As far as the low speed handling it was no worse than My Super T. The problem for me just as it was on my Super T the bars are way too far away from me. With my arms extended very far flipping a heavy bike back and forth is hard for me and when the weight gets started one way or another I really have to put effort in to bringing it back. It is tiring. If I lean forward so I can use my core more instead of my extended arms to handle the weight I didn't seem to be able to lock into the bike with my legs. Same thing on my Super T. So as far as the handling I say no it was fine. I just needed to move the bars closer to me but not higher. As far as the kick stand I don't know I never tried the center stand. The hand guards didn't hit the wind shield on the bike I rode and that bike had the bars rolled way forward. I did rotate the bars left and right sitting still but in order to do a full lock turn I had to stand up because the bar went out further than my reach! I thought it was a great first effort but it definitely isn't the bike for me. there were a lot of things I did like about it but a lot I didn't. Oh by the way the Pan America for me handled way better than the BMW GS I rode even though I could do slow full lock turns easy on the GS.The kickstand(s) interference. The handguard and windshield interference. WTF? Some of his complaints are subjective. Chain v. shaft? That will be debated from now until the end of time. But those two interference issues are minor but unacceptable. He's right, did nobody talk together about the offending parts? Apparently, computer aided design was not used. And does it really have a 4k rpm redline? Makes for a lot of shifting unless the powerband works well I guess.
There's been some guys here that have ridden it. Is this guy just bustin' on the Harley or do y'all agree with the crappy handling and brakes? I've read an awful lot of reviews saying how great a bike it is. Which is it?
