My dad met Steve on the set of the Great Escape. My dad and his friends are actually in the movie (back ground) because they were watching the movie being made after school. One day Steve’s bike broke down and my dad and his friends took him to the little bike shop for a part. Steve grabbed a ‘sales ticket’ and wrote a note on the back of the ticket to let my dad into the studio, and it said "come see me to be an extra in the movie", and Steve signed it. It’s a special one of a kind note with a heart felt signature, not just a scribble. I have this note and it’s really special.

I thought this was cool him working on his car while dressed as a cow boy !

Here is the same car...... I really didnt know much about this car until I did a little looking... Jaguar only built 25 of these ever, from what GOOGLE says. There are 16 remaining and several were lost in a factory fire in 1956. Evidently if you can find one the last one sold for 18 Million. Really interesting history....

Years ago I made the mistake of showing my buddy who owned a sportster with straight pipes at the time how to do the gun trick by leaving his throttle on and flipping the kill switch off then on again quick. It makes a big bang! Of course from then on a tunnel was everybody's misery! I remember that look on his face! haha.

The middle weight bikes seem to be the "in" thing now. I would be surprised if they were not thinking about the under 1,000cc bikes. If they are going to get into the adventure bike segment, might as well jump fully in. They need to figure out how to cut the weight down though.

Other than the T700, wasn't there talk about a Tenere 900?

Look at Triumph with the 900, and the 850. BMW with the 750, 850. KTM...etc
