Hello,
I'm 59 years old and finally learned to ride a motorcycle both from a friend and his bike and an MSF course. It's something I've wanted to do as a kid when I grew up close to a Kawasaki dealership. The women in my life, starting with my mother, wouldn't hear of it but now I'm on my own. After researching I realized that I'm not the typical rider. I live in Harley Davidson land (Milwaukee, WI) but I have no desire for an HD cruiser with open pipes and all that. Maybe the new Pan America.
But in researching I find that an adventure bike is for me. If German engineering matched its reputation I might consider another bike but I'm really digging the S10 the more I read and view. I'm looking at a 2013 but I just haven't been able to synch up with the private seller yet. If all goes well, I should be biked up by next weekend. I've enjoyed what I've learned on this forum over the past few days and I look forward to learning more and joining the S10 club.
