After seven years of owning the S10 I made the leap into the GS word. I can't say enough about the great experiences and unbelievable reliability of the Yamaha. I was waiting for a few years to move up to a newer S10 model with some new technologies such as lean ABS and others, but the wait is over.....
After 1K miles on the GS, I have to admit that the riding experience is quite different in several positive ways. Especially the ease in which it tackles the curves, probably has something to do with the Boxer engine alignment and the low center of gravity.
Ride safe and keep your distance !
